Highlights

  • A large choice of activities including yoga, hiking, kayaking, Zodiac expeditions, a photography program, snowshoeing & camping.
  • The ship does not charge single supplements on single cabins, which makes solo travel to Antarctica more economically viable.
  • A large fleet of 22 zodiacs and multiple loading points enables guests to venture out and onto the ice in smaller groups.

With her ice-strengthened hull and advanced navigation equipment, the 200-passenger Ocean Endeavour is a small expedition ship offering adventure in Antarctica. She was refurbished in 2017, and presents the class and comfort of a hotel, complete with great food, excellent guides, lots of wellness options, and a wide variety of exploration activities.

Onboard, the Ocean Endeavor cabins come in twelve different categories including dedicated single cabins for solo travelers (or the option to share with a traveler of the same gender at no extra cost), spacious suites and triple cabins equipped with two bathrooms. Twin cabins come in various sizes and layouts. You can choose one or two portholes, a single picture window or two windows. You can also opt for two single beds or one double bed.

The largest staterooms are the Junior Suites and the Owner’s Suite, each measuring 320 square feet. The Owner’s Suite has two large windows facing the bow, as well as a bathroom with a tub. Each Junior Suite has a single picture window. All cabins have flat-screen TVs and DVD players.

The staff and crew were very friendly and extremely competent. Always felt safe and looked after. Guides had excellent knowledge of local floor and fauna. Good to see that local people were employed wherever possible.
