Highlights

  • Sail the historic Drake Passage and witness dramatic wildlife shifts as you cross into the Southern Ocean, escorted by albatrosses and Antarctic petrels.
  • Zodiac cruise past towering glaciers, encounter humpback whales in Paradise Bay, and set foot on the Antarctic Continent itself at Neko Harbour.
  • Visit Port Lockroy, Antarctica’s famed “penguin post office,” and explore abandoned whaling stations and snowbound peaks on unforgettable shore landings.

Embark on this extraordinary 11-day journey to the Seventh Continent, beginning at the “End of the World” in Ushuaia and pushing south through the fabled Drake Passage into the remote, ice-clad realm of Antarctica. Following in the wake of early polar pioneers, you’ll cross the Antarctic Convergence—where ocean currents collide and wildlife flourishes—and enter a world few have ever experienced firsthand.

Timed during the late austral summer, this voyage offers peak opportunities to witness Antarctica’s dramatic seasonal transformation. Towering tabular icebergs drift silently past as humpback whales breach in icy bays and penguin colonies bustle with new life. You’ll sail through iconic channels and fjords, past jagged snowbound peaks and across glassy, iceberg-strewn waters that reflect the untouched beauty of the White Continent.

Each day invites new adventures: stepping ashore on islands populated by gentoo penguins and seals, navigating frozen harbors by Zodiac, and exploring historical outposts like Port Lockroy, where explorers once overwintered. Whether marveling at the ghostly wreck of the Guvernøren or spotting whales among the ice in Wilhelmina Bay, the experience is deeply immersive and awe-inspiring.

This voyage is perfect for wildlife lovers, history enthusiasts, first-time polar travelers, and anyone longing to stand where few ever have—on the Antarctic Continent itself. You’ll return home changed, carrying with you not only memories of surreal landscapes and close-up wildlife encounters, but also the quiet triumph of having ventured to one of Earth’s most remote frontiers.
