Antarctica – Uncharted Islands of the Deep South
Highlights
- Explore rarely visited islands and icy bays deep in Antarctica’s wild south, where few expeditions ever reach.
- Sail through the breathtaking Pendleton Strait, The Gullet, and Marguerite Bay amid whales, seals, and penguins.
- Experience a true voyage of discovery, crossing the Antarctic Circle into raw, remote, and uncharted territory.
Embark on an extraordinary 15-day voyage that ventures deep into the seldom-seen reaches of the Antarctic Peninsula, where exploration meets true discovery. From Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, your expedition ship sails through the mountain-fringed Beagle Channel and across the storied Drake Passage—following in the wake of legendary explorers bound for the White Continent.
Beyond the Antarctic Circle, you’ll enter the pristine wilderness of Marguerite Bay and Lazarev Bay, regions so remote that few vessels ever venture here. These are lands shaped by ice and time, where colossal glaciers calve into turquoise waters and islands remain largely uncharted. Your days will be filled with Zodiac excursions through iceberg-laden bays, encounters with Adélie and gentoo penguins, and thrilling sightings of humpback and orca whales that patrol the southern seas.
The voyage’s flexible, true expedition spirit means no two journeys are alike—each dictated by the whims of wind, weather, and ice. Whether landing on historic research outposts like Detaille Island or cruising the narrow, awe-inspiring channel of The Gullet, you’ll feel the raw pulse of Antarctica’s wild heart.
This is more than a voyage—it’s a feat of exploration, crossing the Antarctic Circle into territory known to few humans. Ideal for seasoned adventurers and nature lovers alike, this expedition offers the profound reward of going further, deeper, and wilder than most ever dream—leaving you forever changed by the immensity and purity of the planet’s last true frontier.
