From the historic remains of 16th-century whaling stations in Northwest Spitsbergen to the silent glaciers and barren rockscapes of the northeast, every stop reveals a different chapter in the Arctic’s natural and human story. This is a land where polar bears prowl icy shorelines, walrus haul out onto pebbled beaches, and the ghostly remnants of early exploration whisper beneath the midnight sun.
Departing in the early Arctic summer, this itinerary offers plentiful hours of daylight, mild conditions, and optimal wildlife encounters—from seabird-covered cliffs to ice-strewn waters where belugas and seals may appear without warning. As the ship pushes further north, you’ll explore the remote islands of Sjuøyane and venture into the ever-shifting Arctic ice pack—an otherworldly seascape that very few humans ever experience. Whether you’re spotting wildlife from a Zodiac, walking along isolated tundra, or watching the horizon from the observation deck, every moment promises a new perspective on our planet’s high latitudes.
This journey takes you into the raw and beautiful heart of the Arctic—a place that humbles and transforms. You’ll leave with the rare distinction of having set foot on some of Earth’s northernmost lands and stood at the edge of the world’s great polar ice cap.
