Highlights

  • Cross the legendary 66°33′ South latitude, joining the select few who have ventured deep into Antarctica’s icy realm.
  • Witness humpbacks, minkes, and penguins in krill-rich waters while exploring remote bays, glaciers, and pristine rookeries
  • Celebrate Christmas amid towering icebergs and embark on thrilling Zodiac cruises, hikes, and the polar plunge adventure

Venture beyond the edge of the world on this once-in-a-lifetime 13-day expedition that takes you deep into the heart of Antarctica—and even further south across the mythic Antarctic Circle. This immersive journey begins in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, before crossing the legendary Drake Passage to the otherworldly landscapes of the Antarctic Peninsula. As you push past 66°33′ South, you’ll enter a realm visited by only a rare few: a place of towering tabular icebergs, sapphire-lit glaciers, and unforgettable wildlife moments.

Timed perfectly for late December, this voyage offers the unique benefits of Antarctica’s high summer. Expect nearly continuous daylight, giving you more time to explore and witness some of the most dynamic moments in the Southern Ocean’s life cycle—penguin chicks chirping in raucous rookeries, humpback whales breaching amid krill-rich seas, and seals hauled out on glowing blue ice. The light itself is mesmerizing, dancing across the snowbound mountains and mirrored bays that surround you at every turn.

Whether you’re gliding through iceberg-littered waters on a Zodiac, walking among penguins on pebbled beaches, hiking up snow-covered ridgelines, or simply watching the spectacle from your ship’s panoramic lounge, every moment is a brush with the extraordinary. Celebrate Christmas on the ice with fellow adventurers and a festive feast like no other, while your expert expedition team brings the region’s history, geology, and ecology to life through lectures and guided outings.

Crossing the Antarctic Circle is more than a geographical milestone—it’s a personal triumph. This rarely achieved feat will be toasted under the open sky, with icebergs on the horizon and the sense that you’ve stepped into a realm that remains almost untouched by humankind. You’ll return with a deeper connection to nature, a reverence for Earth’s extremes, and stories few others can tell.
