Highlights

  • Journey deep into Svalbard’s remote High Arctic pack ice, searching for polar bears, seals, and elusive Arctic wildlife.
  • Explore Northwest Spitsbergen’s dramatic fjords and glacier-lined coasts on immersive Zodiac cruises and landings.
  • Discover Ny-Ålesund, a legendary Arctic outpost where polar explorers and modern scientists shaped High Arctic history.

Journey to the edge of the inhabited world on this unforgettable Arctic expedition through the wild and ice-sculpted landscapes of Svalbard aboard the Seaventure. Beginning in Norway’s elegant capital of Oslo before flying far above the Arctic Circle to Longyearbyen, your voyage ventures into a realm of immense glaciers, towering seabird cliffs, frozen seas, and isolated fjords where nature reigns supreme. This remote archipelago, perched between mainland Norway and the North Pole, is one of the planet’s most remarkable polar environments—renowned for its abundant wildlife, dramatic scenery, and rich legacy of Arctic exploration.

Sailing during the height of the Arctic summer offers the extraordinary advantage of nearly continuous daylight beneath the midnight sun, maximizing opportunities for wildlife encounters and exploration. As the Seaventure navigates through Northwest Spitsbergen National Park and into the ever-changing pack ice, guests may witness walrus hauled out along remote shores, vast colonies of seabirds swirling above basalt cliffs, and perhaps even polar bears patrolling the ice edge in their natural habitat. The pristine landscapes of Hinlopen Strait and Alkefjellet reveal the raw scale and untamed beauty of the High Arctic, while the ship’s flexible expedition approach allows the experienced crew to adapt each day to ice and wildlife conditions.

Life aboard combines adventure with enrichment and comfort. Zodiac cruises bring you close to glaciers, rugged coastlines, and wildlife-rich waters, while shore excursions offer the chance to step onto rarely visited Arctic terrain. Onboard lectures and expert guidance deepen your understanding of the region’s ecology, climate, and fascinating human history. Visits to places like Ny-Ålesund connect guests to both the heroic age of polar exploration and the cutting-edge scientific research taking place in this fragile environment today.

This voyage is as much about emotion...
